Is it hard to learn to read sheet music?

I want to learn the violin. I already have a violin but don’t know how to read the music. Any advice on learning books or dvd’s would be greatly helpful aswell. Thanks.

If you take lessons for the violin and you learn using the Suzuki method, you don’t have to learn to read music. The Suzuki method teaches you by ear.

Learning to read music for the violin isn’t that hard, though I would defnitely advise you to take lessons.
